On behalf of Rapp at Home and our cosponsor, RAAC:
A big THANK YOU to our Rappahannock community and volunteers for an awesome
Commnity Square Dance!
On October 26th at the Sperryville Fire Hall
A Great Time Was Had by All!
Submitted to the Rappahannock News of November 7, 2019:
Rapp at Home and RAAC would like to thank the community for coming out for our 2nd annual Community Square Dance on Saturday, October 26th. The old wooden floors of the Sperryville Fire Hall rocked to feet pounding and hand clapping, do-si-doeing and the Virginia Reel, and lots of smiles and laughter from a near-capacity crowd of more than 80 dancers and music lovers of all ages.
The Cabin Raiders supplied wonderful Appalachian music and DeLaura Padovan once more had us all dancing despite very few of us being experts!
We appreciate so much the volunteers and supporters without whom this fun event can’t happen. Special thanks to: Barbara Adolfi, Ellen Adams, Ralph and Gwen Bates, Matthew and Barbara Black, Ed Eagar, Fred and Kathy Eggers, Mary Katherine Ishee, Dot Lessard, Sharon Pierce, David Soroko, Kathryn Treanor, Ruth and Bryant Welch, and many others who joined in to help!
We most especially appreciate the financial support of Cliff Miller, III, and Dot and Rick Lessard for helping to defray the costs of the dance, and you – our Rappahannock friends and neighbors, for coming and making it a great event.
Thank you, Rappahannock!
President Rapp at Home
